Exercise Equipment Recalled Due to Fall Hazard

News reports state that the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has instructed Nautilus to recall its Schwinn 460 Elliptical Exercise equipment. The recall was initiated after nine incidents were reported where the equipment malfunctioned or, in some cases, the foot plate detached or broke away, resulting in a fall. They have also advised consumers that they should stop using the equipment immediately in order to avoid preventable injuries. Consumers are instructed to stop using the equipment immediately and contact the company for further instruction.
