CPSC Votes for ANPR to Address Fire Hazards of Gel Fuels

According to a press statement, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) voted in favor of an advance notice of proposed rulemaking (ANPR) aimed at curbing fire safety violations by manufacturers of fuel gels and firepots. The consumers are being given the chance to make their views known to the CPSC regarding such fire safety violations among these products. Those manufacturers who do not conform to the safety standards may be banned from further production of such products.

As a Seattle personal injury lawyer, I’m familiar with the fire and burn hazards of fuel gels and firepots and the safety issues that have been prevalent in the manufacturing of these products over the past months. If you have suffered an injury through the use of a defective or otherwise dangerous product, it may be in your best interests to speak with a personal injury lawyer experienced in these matters to discuss your legal rights as they pertain to the situation.
